If it helps.... Rickenbacker has single coil, passive pickups. Pedulla has an active pre-amp and usually Bartolini pickups. Rickenbacker is mostly machine (CNC) made, Pedulla is hand made. One of the reasons (not the only, but one of) Pedulla is priced higher for new basses, is the fact that they are hand made - you are essentially buying a boutique instrument.
