I have a similar Pedulla bass. I wouldn't advise it as your main instrument. Although it's a pretty good instrument, considering it's one of his first, the weight is intense and well.....it's just an oddball. You feel hints of what was about to come, but Michael wasn't quite there yet. Then again the neck through design delivers a great tone with lots of harmonics and long sustain. What I like best about mine is the DiMarzio Model One at the bridge position. It sounds great for funky finger style. Almost Wal like. The electronics are freaky 70's style with all kinds of phase/parellel/series switches that can change the sound into something that resemble fondling paper.
