i need help .. regarding an ashdown settup

hey guys i have ashdown electric blue 180 head , at moment im running a 2x10 behringer cab with it and 1x15 laney cab

whats the best suited cabs for a p bass in rock music for the ashdown? ive always been a combo player, this is greek to me ..

will 4x10 go down better? or should i keep the 15 on the mix?

I would use a single 410 cab. Mixing cabs is generally a no no. The 410 will give you the volume, and will probably have better low end than your 15.

Get a cab that is identical to either cab you own and pair them (2x 210 or 2x 115). Identical cabs negates phasing issues that would otherwise occur in mixing different cabs (they'll sound bad).

That or sell both existing cabs and get a decent used 410.

I'm with sad_katz... That amp will rock either cab paired, and modular is always more versatile... Use both cabs when you need volume, a single for smaller gigs... I used to go with my MAG300 through a pair of 15's, and it was HUGE sounding... Pulled the single 15 when I didn't need as much... Very versatile setup
