so I've got an acoustic 450 head and i don't know what type of cabinet to pair it with.
it outputs 170 watts independent on load, what does this mean and what ohm load cab would you recommend pairing it with?

To be safe, try a single 4 ohm cab, or a pair of 8 ohm cabs.

What style of music do you play? How strong is your back and how big is your car?
If you're looking for a 1 cab solution I'd go with a 4 ohm 4-10.

You have an acoutstic that will power a single 4ohm (410 ) cab like the other members said. If the amp gives you trouble and has to be scrapped then the cab will be good for your next head.

RickenBoogie is 100% correct. 1 @ 4 ohms OR 2 @ 8 ohms each ! Perfect!
