I need some advice...

My name is nick, i have been registered for like 2 years now, but i have not posted much, mostly lurking and searching for info and advice. Well anyway, i need some advice from you guys.

I am 19 years old and i met this girl the other day and we kinda of hit off. We have lots in common, I like her and she has said she likes me too. The problem is when I asked how old she was she said she was 15. My question to you guys is it weird for a 19 male to go out with a 15 girl.

Now I did not force anything her, she actully came onto me strong. She has said she has no problem with the age difference and it is only 4 years, but she is only 15. I am kinda confused right. I really like her, but I dont want to feel like a werido. The irony is her dad is 52 and her mom is 40. I am just so confused. and any help would be great :help:

Avoid this situation.

If you can keep things clean and legal, then no stress. If there's not a chance of that, avoid it.

I've dated both well above and below my age (when I was 22, I dated someone who was mid 30's, and when I was 30, I dated someone who was 19)...and while I had no problem with either, there was definitely some psychological and emotional distance on each end of it.

Hey guys, thanks for the advice, i am going to put an end to this. This thing could go wrong so many more ways than it could go right.

:EDIT: I hope you guys do not think i am wierd or anything, cause this situation is really wierd

Weird??? Nah man... I've considered moving to Cambodia just because that very thing is legal. :D

Run and avoid like the plague. You're 19, she's only 15. She's under age and if you two did anything or she even SAID you two did, you could get in deep you know what.

Move on, you're still young.

+1. Be really nice about it, but quietly run as far away as possible. You don't want this to turn into a he said/she said thing; it could get REALLY ugly for you. Teenage girls can get extremely emotional and exercise bad judgment regardless of how it turns out.

Any possible upside is DWARFED by the enormity of the potential for disaster.

Dude, you are right that 4 years isnt that bad, I am 35 and my wife is 27. However, the particular 4 years in question are pretty significant years. Even if there were no legal issues (which there are) think back to when you were 15 and how different you are now. Neither of you know how she will be in 4 years, you may not even be compatable. You made the right choice.

The 4 year difference isn't an issue as far as age gap goes. If it was you with a 23 year old it may only possibly be an emotional thing. Like I said above, with the 15/19 issue it's a legality thing because she COULD get emotional and drag you down a road you don't want to go.

I would just be honest and just say that you really do like her and would love to be friends but after thinking about it you're just not ready to be with someone 4 years younger than you.

I should admit, when I was 19 I was in the exact same situation, me 19, her 15. Granted we never did anything and I never had her flake out and try to get me in trouble, from an emotional stand point it just didn't work. That and a whole other aspect that was a complete mess that I couldn't deal with but that's another story.

i wouldnt do it...i know alot of people that go out with kids 3 or 4 years older then them. i find it kinda weird and creepy for somone that is 18 or 19 to be going out with someone that is 15 or 16. no offence to you.

and if anything were to ever "happen" you would be up to your eyeballs in legal issues.

Yaaa... I went to a relatively small highschool so when keggers or parties occurred, guys and gals from every grade would show up... not wrong tol party with them, but..... As someone who is currently 19, I would not even dream of engaging in any sort of physical or emotional relationship with anyone who is not 18, because the law is freaking crazy. I mean when you're 25 and she's 21, that's not even that weird at all.. but like... right now, just don't.. unless it's someone 4 years older than you.. then congratu-freakin-lations

Run like hell. It's nothing but trouble.

As much as you like her, and may have things in common, your goals in life are different at this point. You're in college right? She's in high school. Her plans are to stay put for a while, and yours, I'm sure are to get the hell out and make something of yourself.

Most 15 year old girls have no issues with age differences if it means they are dating an "older guy". Part of your appeal to her is your age. I'm not trying to take anything away from you, but that is just plain true. Try asking her if she would have any problems dating a 12 or 13 year old? :D

Step away my friend as has been suggested.
