I need some high end help please!

I play a Fender Jazz 70's reissue through a Markbass combo 1x12 amp, both brand new. At practice with my band, I kept noticing that I had plenty of sound with the low end, playing low E up to the B. However, when I started playing the higher three strings, the level dropped so I could barely hear it. I tried turning up the high mids, but it just made the sound coming out really tinny. I tried maxing all the levels, but that didn't do it either.

I'm planning of sitting down and trying every combination I can this evening, but I was wondering if there was anyone who could help me get a nice, even sound whilst keeping that low end as far up as I can? Thanks guys.

Start with trying a different bass. Then try your bass thru different rigs, maybe a music store nearby. Look at the height of the pickups vs strings. Could be something as simple as a pickup adjustment.

Check your pickup tilt from side to side.

The pickups should be further away from the E string, and closer to the G string to make up for the inherent volume differences that these differently sized strings generate.
