In my text messaging window it underlines and creates a gray box around words you can choose to replace with an emoji. If you click, or double click, or something, it'll replace the word trombone with some funky french horn.
Once I figured out the function I was super surprised at how many words the common sentence has that could be replaced by a little cartoon. At what point does communication become less clear with the implementation of pictures?
I remember being ubfortable with the adoption of ":^) and other such nonsense back in AOL 28.8kps days, so call me an old man shouting you off my lawn, or wave a series of pictograms at me with a patch of grass, a cane, and an arrow pointing right at me in protest.
