I need some rounds that are like me ...

DR Sunbeams. They have a nice warmth to them right from the get go & even moreso once they've been broken in a bit.

Great strings, IMO.


+1 I was a Slinky guy for years. My local store ran out. I tried a set of these after the owner (a personal friend) made me a deal. Since then I have tried a bunch of other strings and I keep coming back to these because of the very qualities you brought up with your question.
 
If you want darker sounding strings than standard nickel rounds while staying with something that has a similar sound and tension, then you should try some groundwounds. I've tried the D'Addario (halfwounds) and GHS versions (brite flats) and they're both good strings.
