I need the BIGGEST pickup EVER.

I've got my thoughts in order based on a deal I found combined with junk I had lying around and the TalkBass community's nice advice.
I spent $45 on a EMG MMCS active stingray pickup for the neck position. I'm acquiring a 'Frets on the net' metal MM ring. I already have a EMG 40DC that fits for the bridge position, and enough EMG stuff to complete a simple circuit. perhaps I'll play around with an EMG EQ, but I generally think active EQ is stupid since Amps have active EQ, and computers have active EQ that far surpasses anything built into a bass.
I've never been a low impedance pickup guy, but that is the way the wind was blowing this time.

DiMarzio used to make a p/u that dropped in to a Gibson EB-0 bass ( some call them a Mudbucker ) , don’t know if they still make them , but you might find 1 on e-bay . Good luck

It's not a pickup, it's a piece of wood or plastic put there to serve as a ramp.

That pickup is a Dimarzio Model One, and they are still in production!
