OP. The health club/a new support group/a potential new circle of friends is a good development. So is recognizing that your addiction is in effect is an entity (the little devil on one shoulder) which is bent upon bringing you down. Periods of personal weakness in the face of this nemesis will often take the form of emotional highs & lows during which smoking will seem so insignificant that having 'just one' won't hurt.
If you do fall off the wagon (don't), get right back on. While combating an addiction may seem as hard as climbing a mountain, some personal mountains have more loose gravel on them than others. Keep climbing and you will find better footing. Many others have and so can you.
