I showed this clip to one of my bass playin' friends and her response was "his hands don't move - how can technique like that exist?" So effortless.

He should be locked up...... Gabrielli, and all.
That wouldn't help, it would just give him more time to practise!
That's the thing that always strikes me about his playing. It's like he never really moves the bow-just twitches it and gets that incredible sound. And his left hand...... effortless is the perfect word.
