Not sure if it's completely regret the sale of my SX Jazz Bass Short scale, but I do miss that one from time to time.

One that I do regret selling? My first bass, an Ibanez lawsuit copy of a Rickenbacher 4001 in firemist. I bought it from a good friend who I ended up losing touch with for many years. Once we reconnected and I heard about the rough times he'd been through I wish I would have had that bass to get back to him.

My late 80's white Spector\Kramer NS2A which was upgraded with active EMG PU's and a brass nut. I still have it's sister bass in black but everyone knows white Spectors esp Kramer era are the golden ticket. Plus the neck on the white bass was\is much better than my other NS2A. If anyone on here has it hit me up!

...my vintage 1970s Dan Armstrong fretless lucite for about $650 about 10 years ago (value now $1500+?), a vintage Ross guitar compressor for $5-10 at a garage sale some 25 years ago (value now $600+?)...and I can't remember if I ever collected on the vintage Mosrite Ventures Guitar I took to Ray Henning's Heart of Music in Austin some 30 years ago (value $2500?).
How about you?...

My first electric guitar, a Kustom K-200 A, which I bought at a garage sale for $60. Those DeArmond pickups sounded so great. I later gave it away. :( Since they were only made for three years, they now go for around $1500 on eBay. Like this one, except mine was black:

Nothing. Everything sold was sold for a reason.

Agreed, but when I read posts like this I still get a little nauseous when I think about:

Trading my mint 1978 Rick 4001 Fireglow (bought for $475), and 1978 Rick 4080 6/4 Mapleglow (bought for $750) in 1985 for a brand new Steinberger L2 that I would later sell ($2500) to buy a car in 1990 that I would drive for two years until I wrapped it around a telephone pole.
As for the '78 jazz, I hated that bass so I unloaded it in 1987 for what I paid in '78 - $350.

Still wonder if any of those basses are still being played....

- Fender MIJ 90's unlined fretless vintage white Jazz that I bought for about $225 (!) back in college and sold years later for about the same price when I got into a money crunch. Many are now selling for 2x that or more.

- Early Gibson-made Tobias Killer B 5 lacewood. Incredibly easy to play, very fast neck, Demeter 3-band preamp upgrade. Punchy as all hell. Traded it for a Lakland Skyline 5501 the year they debuted (2001?) bc I wanted something new and different, plus the Killer B was having truss issues and probably needed fret work. The Skyline is a great bass, don't get me wrong, but I often wish that I had kept the Tobias and put the work into it. Alas...

Not music related, but........
All my Star Wars toys at a yard sale in the late 80's. Had the Millennium Falcon, X-Wing, Y-Wing, Snowspeeder, the Darth Vadar character case full of action figures, even the Jabba platform with the creepy little laughing guy! Sold them all for like a buck each.
Fastforward 20 years and that collection would have been worth thousands!

My Kramer Ferrington Acoustic Guitar...

My Mexi Strat...

My Squier Strat. That thing had an enormous clean tone...

My flamed top cherry sunburst Jazz bass with a Geddy Jazz neck...

My Roland Jazz Chorus 77 amp. I cant imagine how great that Squier Strat would have sounded through it...

My friend still has the original Luke, Leia, Han, R2D2 and I think C3P0. These are the ones you had to send the card in because they werent ready for Christmas sale that first year.
