I saved a bass today.

Here is how I got it. Craigslist ad. No photo but the guy said it had a ton of stickers.

Goo gone. Alcohol (rubbing, not drinking. Though I needed one) Cramping hands. Having the wifey take over while I made dinner and this is what I got.

Had to tweak the truss rod a bit and I will do another turn tomorrow.

I still got a few tiny places of sticker residue I missed but my hands were tired lol. You see on the contour of the last pic a little bit of residue. I would rate it easily a 7.5-8 out of 10 though (a few finish scratches here and there). No corrosion, tuners work fine. Truss rod is fine. Knobs are fine. Pickups etc.

My thoughts exactly man! I have a stickered bass but it was a solid black finish, and it was so damn boring I just had to sticker it. This finish however...I would not. It has a nice charcoal-esque color scheme and its quilted looking (If that makes any sense at all?)

This thing sounds pretty good. I got the action pretty darn low. The pickups look to be 4 inches equal length. Anyone make replacements?
