I went on a walk around the block and ended up chatting with a newer neighbor that I hadn't yet met,

somehow the topic of music came up and he asked me if I play and I said sure I play bass, guitar, and mandolin.

he said, 'you gotta see this!' and we went into his house where he showed me...

... well I won't say as it's not my project but I am super duper impressed and i'm going to build one of these.

when I do I will share the results here.

imagine a loud and properly toneful modular acoustic bass.

I've never made a Projekt out of anything other than inanimate bass parts. If it turns out to be a sunburst P or J with a tort guard, I may have to reexamine that personal rule.

A loud and properly toneful modular acoustic bass and you won't tell anyone until you try to build one yourself?
So everyone has to wait until when, Christmas, to know what you saw and heard?
