I scare animals

Yesterday in my attempt to procrastinate, and keep myself far away from studying for my calc exam, I felt it would be a good time to play with my SX, effects and my 450w combo. My dog was just laying on the ground presumably asleep. When I got up and started plugging things in, he proceeded to get up and walk quickly out of the room in a hurried manner before I had even finished plugging in.


Should I take offense to that? Is my dog trying to tell me I suck? Or does he just not apprecaite the the house shaking volume he would have been subjected to had he stayed?

When I kept my Sunn cab at my house (it's at my guitarists house), if I kept it at a fairly tolerable level, my dog would lean against the cab. When I shook stuff off the wall, she'd split.

This is funny though, my friend had a multi effects processor that was a very very chill effect. It had a volume swell, and with a slide, he could make his guitar sound just like a cat. The cat would purr and lean up against the amp... then he'd switch to heavy distortion and slam a power chord, the cat would run faasssstt. :D

Go low frequency for getting to animals with far more sensitive hearing. My cat has no issue with me playing. Just comes along and crashes on the bed and then falls asleep.

The only funny thing the cat does do is appear out of nowhere when I change strings.

you got off easy a girl im good friends with plays flute and one day was playing in the compulsary class (not elective so just imagine a lot of teenagers holding guitars by the neck like a club)when a bunch of boys thought it would be funny to relate it to american pie

Not all white cats are deaf, but they are much more likely to be deaf.

The cats are very indifferent to me playing, but I never have it cranked in the house. But when I practice at the one keyboard players house, the dog likes to lie right in front of the bass cab. This again is a very low volume event.
