i think this is impossible but here it goes...

my g**tarist uses a fuzz factory, which is first in his chain as he has it velcroed onto his guitar, he also uses a whammy but he complains that because the fuzz is first the whammy makes it sound weird, so he wants the whammy first, is there anyway of getting the whammy before the fuzz but being able to keep the fuzz factory on his guitar and without having 3 wires coming from his guitar?

any help is always appreciated

P.S: this really does seem impossible

Conor

Glue the Whammy onto the guitar.
But glue it on the back of the guitar, so the the expression pedal is pressed against his body (belly, hip, upperleg, depends on how low he hangs his guitar.)

This way he can operate the Whammy by rocking his guitar against his body. (So: not using his foot.)

:D

;)

Hey, this is the only thing I can come up with other than saying: "it isn't possible."

well matthew bellamy of muse does this as well. he wanted the whammy IN his guitar and to run on batteries, which just isnt possible. SO, they installed a midi pad on the guitar, im assuming with a midi out jack, which will run a cable to the whammy.

you're still at 3 cables, but you can control the whammy from somewhere else.

well you could run from the guitar to the whammy and then back into the fuzz factory and then back out to the amp or the rest of the board...:D

or just set it all up on loop...

my main question is why does he want the fuzz factory on his guitar?

cus he has to change setting quite a bit and also to control the pitch of oscillation.

is it actually possible to have it all set up in a loop without having wires dripping from his guitar?

Get a wireless system. Run the guitar into the whammy, and then have a wireless reciever on the fuzz factory on the guitar, and then have a transmitter and second receiver so it goes to the amp. Problem solved.

as in the comment just above. ah. i get it now,

the only reaeson why he has it on his guitar, as the first in chain is to manipulate the settings? get a tone-in-progress 3rd hand. and switch out the knobs he wants to change for it!

cheers

+1. i think but im not sure but i think that you could mod the fuzz to have an expression jack and then he could just plug an expression pedal into it and then you can do whatever.

correct me if im wrong cause i havent done this before.

There's a way to do it. He can ask the guys on here and someone might step up to help...or he can pay ZVex to do it, which will cost a bit...
