I told my wife this

Here is Toshiro Mifune with the full "flip" indicative of a bun. But then I suppose he too proves your point that some guys you shouldn't taunt about their man bun.

I was looking for old woodcuts or drawings of the real deal, but yes, taunting Mr. Mifune about his coiffure would most likely win you a smack with the spine of his blade. :D

The problem with your plan is that most women look good in leggings regardless of winter sleigh prints and all men look stupid in man buns.
I'll admit you are right. But I am too cool, even in a man bun, to look stupid. I'd look "stupid cool" which is another thing.
oh yeah....

While I don't disagree, I'm gonna let you enlighten this guy.

Ha... My son wears one of those... I am confident his intent is to get his old man's goat. He works at a tire store. Thus I have officially dubbed him my "samurai tire boy." I don't think he appreciates the humor. But I have the advantage... I'm old and don't care.

She insists on wearing these winter leggings with little sleighs on them. The sleighs were not printed correctly on the leggings. OK--they look stupid. I told her if she continued to wear them, I was going to buy a faux man bun. I have a pretty short haircut.
She just slitted her eyes at me and walked away.

Hmph...she's not taking me seriously. Off to the store tomorrow.
I have a similar blunt humor relationship with my wife. I am confident that when she doesn't appreciate my guffaws she immediately goes to the beauty shop to get her hair permed. A sure fire way to keep me at bay for a few days.... Unfortunately, I believe she has the upper hand here.

I think you have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on your part.

I'm talking pure psychological warfare. The man-bun is ineffective in it's shock factor due to the fact that it's too popular and widespread.

No, what you need is something vomited from the foulest depths of Hell.

You need............The Man-Romper:

Just be thankful she isn't one of those women who think couples who dress alike are fashionable. or YOU'D be wearing white leggings, too. You know, where the husband and wife are both wearing the same printed shirt & shorts combo, or something equally hideous.

Living near Sun City (a retirement community), 'dress alikes' are not uncommon, and not one of them has ever looked good.

Dude I told you I would only pose for that photo with you on the agreement you would not print it.

Grrrrr

And also grrrrrrrrr!

One time (when I was 17) I made a really big deal about how embarrassed I was of my GF wearing a long jacket like from the Western movies. Can't recall what those are called right now. (Duster?)
Later I realized I had no control over what she was going to wear & I could take it or leave it, & I haven't bothered a woman about what they wear ever since.
Haven't seen very many women wearing a duster, unless she works on ranch.
