Hello All,
I have been playing electric bass for a while and was asked to play DB in a bluegrass band for church. (purchased a bass from a fellow TB member last week, thanks Eric)
One of the tunes we will be playing is a I V IV in D and I am have a bit of trouble comming up with good runs for it.
Any advice?

I-V-IV? That progression seems to have sort of a minored out slow rock feel to me. For something like that, I'd be inclined to play a very simple root and passing note kind of deal.

What is the song?

I saw you were in Charlottesville, and thought I'd give you a shout out. And then I clicked on your link and see the name Ricky Reed, and I was like, "Holy s**t!" I must have hear that name a million times from Johnny Vaughn when I was playing in Zen Daddy!

What up, dude?!

I see this in an ancient thread, so you might not see it.
