I want a Stingray...I really do...

Only one of their bases looks like the light blue bass posted above all the rest are uncarved on their front like the dark blue one shown above
Bought 2017..white sculptured body EB Musicman Stingray SR5 As far as I know this colour discontinued now..correct me if i'm wrong guys.

They have changed a lot of colours and design differences since I bought mine..I already stated they discontinued my white coloured SR5 from memory.
yes Steve I see the same website..I know they have changed a heap of things since my order in 2017..it took close to 6 months to receive the bass here in Aust too..Its a pity they dropped a lot of the older colours too.
Yeah I have noticed a lot of changes..not for the better in my opinion either...I loved a lot of their older colours and the sculptured bodies..the link is the same steven im sure...

Mine was a custom order..I wanted white body, white pg, maple fretboard, sculptured body, chrome hardware, SR5...they probably built it from scratch because it took 6 months to reach me loll
One of the larger music stores here in Aust shows a small selection of SR5 basses all sold out except the darkray lol

Let me help. All StingRay 5 basses are contoured except the now discontinued StingRay Classic 5.
The StingRay Special 5s are listed under StingRay Special — it says two instruments. One is the contoured 5-string version.

Are sure about your "Ray 34 being much better than a SUB " statement? It would be like stating that a Sterling Ray 34 is much better than a genuine Music Man Sting Ray classic (2 tones)…similarly to “Squier being much better than MIA Fender”. A very strong statement and honestly, pretty difficult to believe.

Since this thread got resurrected, I will provide an update on my Stringray.
After putting the Nordstrand MM4.2 in, I fell in love with the sound of this bass and it has become my go to for gigging. I still occasionally take my Carvin LB-70, Ric 4001 or Sire V7, but this bass seems to be my regular choice, at least for the last year and a half. I find that I can adjust the preamp and playing position to get different sounds to suit different songs (playing in a rock hits cover band). I am super pleased with my purchase and have thought of getting a 5-string Ray25CA to go with it, simply because I can.

What? SUB are $300. I am not claiming the Sterling is better than MM. Not sure what you are talking about.
There may be some confusion over which SUB is being referenced — an SBMM SUB or an EBMM SUB. The EBMMs are, or were, MIA basses with USA StingRay parts but low-cost finishes and some without preamps. Great basses, and not to be confused with or compared to the contemporary import SBMM SUB basses.
Sure, SUB according to me are Ernie Ball SUB. Sub sterlings? didn’t know they even existed
