I started that book, got about 40 pages in, and never picked it back up. Maybe I should try again. What I would like to know is, how do you get the ACIDFORTHECHILD sound?
Or, more to the point, who was Flea trying to sound like?

I want to know: how do you get ACIDFORTHECHILD's $10k bass budget. What I would like to know is, how do you get the ACIDFORTHECHILD sound?

As someone who owns all the above, I don’t think you can make a bad choice, but I’m also curious why you’re now considering a Strat? Are you thinking bass might not be the path you want to take? That’s not to say you can’t do both, but I’m a little shocked considering this thread and what you’ve posted thus far.Hey, I think I will get a Modulus or a stingray, or a fender stratocaster
Sure, if the Flea thing doesn't work out, you could always try a Frusciante.Hey, I think I will get a Modulus or a stingray, or a fender stratocaster

Imagine being able to just walk into a store and buy a Wal. The 90s were awesome... speaking from experience. Here's a photo of the trans blue Wal Mk II in the store before Flea bought it to use on BSSM.

Agree. And if I had a Time Machine I would go backwards in time and buy ALL the Wals!Imagine being able to just walk into a store and buy a Wal. The 90s were awesome... speaking from experience.
It was certainly a fun time. We were the first Wal dealer in the country, and sold quite a few. We actually sold 7 in one day.Agree. And if I had a Time Machine I would go backwards in time and buy ALL the Wals!
