image. image. image. image. image. ...so I took some parts I had on hand, and assembled this Jazz Bass. I had to route and deepen the neck cavity for the rondo neck. It's an inexpensive eBay Alder body, a rondo neck, fender noiseless pickups, an active preamp I had here, and just miscellaneous other hardware. Sounds pretty good so far, and has a great feel to it. I'll keep tweaking, but pretty happy with it. It's definitely not perfect, but looks pretty good I think.

Oddly enough, I'm out searching for dual concentric knobs now!

No luck on finding the dual concentric knobs in stock, so I had the local shop order them.

Not sure if you noticed, but for the heck of it I decided to mount the tuners at an angle just to see if it felt any better. The jury is still out, don't know if it's any better, any worse, or just doesn't matter....

I dig the slight angle you did on the tuners.

It's cool seeing little subtle touches like that.

Very nice, love the inlays on the neck. Before I saw the headstock I thought that was an old Fender neck, but didn't know if they ever came in anything other than black blocks.
