I was given a Behringer Ultrabass BX4410A today at work. The dude is going through a divorce and needed some cash. I only gave him 20 for it. It is the 4 x 10 combo 450 watts. I know I can ad another 4 x 10 and make it a 8 x x10. Would I be able to run a diffrent head if I wanted to? Or connect a power amp to that head? I already have an other 8 x 10 cab and want to find a way to incorporate both cabs once i get another 4 x 10

He needed cash so bad he took $20 for his bass amp?? Must be a bad divorce. Even a pawn shop would give him a better deal than that. I feel bad for the guy.
yea, shes taking him for everything. He's crashing right now at my house and I offered him more for it, but he said thats all he needed for now.
Ouch. Sounds nasty for the guy. Atleast if hes crashing at your house, he can keep playing. I would have given him the 20 as a donation.
he refused it, and insisted I have the cab. He is leaving for his parents house tommrow. He wanted to sell me his bass and i was like dude, come on, you need to keep that atleast. So i talked him to keeping his bass. But he was insistant i keep the combo. So i might as well add it to my rig. Any ideas?
Been there. It's just another sad fact of life. Hope it get's better for him, and it will. Just gotta get through the hard part.
If you don't really need it, flip it for him on ebay then give him the cash or at least a gas card.
trust me i have tried. He wouldn't even take my extra car that we offered him to use for while. He was insistant that i keep the rig cause he said he knows I will use it. Plus when he gets back up i plan on giving it back or buying him a new set up. But theroitcly I could disconnect the head from the speaker cab and run the speakers through a diffrent head right?
Actually since your friends with the guy, buy whatever you can from him for cheap. Then when the divorce is over and hes done with getting all his blood sucked out of him, sell it back for the same price or give it back.
For all we know that is reason he his selling/giving it away so cheaply to friends so he can get them back later. She cannot have what isn't his.
Hi, there. I agree with the other guys. Buy all he sells and take what he gives you. Then give it back later. In the meantime, ask your friend if he would mind you trying it out. I'm really curious about how well the amp performs and it's tone qualities. I'm wanting to buy one. Have you tried it out? P.S. nice of you to host him while he's going through his bad times.
