Bassybill, it looks that I'm still ignorant about England. Since I visited the Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon, does it mean I was in your region?
In Stratford, I must have discovered what had been making young Will Sheakespeare so poetic in his mornings. The swans. He must had been woken up at 5 a.m. everyday ;-)

Warwick and Stratford are about 40 miles south of me. You can see most of the Midlands places mentioned in this thread on this map - Wolverhampton, Birmingham (biggest city shown here by a huge margin), Coventry, Warwick, Stratford, Burton. At the top NW you can see Newcastle - note that this is the small town of Newcastle-under-Lyme, not the major city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne that is 200 miles or so NE of here. At the bottom of the map, you can see the region called the Cotswolds, a very scenic rural area. Oxford is just missing off the southern edge. The square map is maybe 55-60 miles along each edge.

Well, I've got some great advice for you. Don't move to birmingham. The Brummy accent is... not desirable. My father is a brum.
But it seems it's easier to get hold of Mild there, and mild is a wonderful type of beer.

Haha, that is the local accent, but I grew up in canterbury, so I'm afraid that's not my accent.

This Xmas evening, together with my niece and her fiance, drinking mead, vodka, red wine, coffee liquor... all to you!
Food, three varieties of herring, potato salad, borsch with dumplings, sole fish, pierogi, cheese cake, cocoa cake...
I'm full.
Hopefully tomorrow we'll have some time to make some recording. The niece occassionally sings with me
