When I was a Gunner, we skipped five all together, when we did count down. Sounds too much like "Fire!"

"Fife" or "Fiver" was acceptable when communicating numbers over the radio.

Originally, a Fife was a flute like instrument used in fife and drum or marching music. IIRC.

I've known a couple of people from Sac Town, and they all said "hella." Was the most annoying word in the world aarrrrhghghghg!!

Then when I saw the same thing happen on South Park, I felt vindicated

Orange County types said "hella" quite often back in the day, long before you became a resident. I think its mostly been phased out, though.
