Just wanted to share a few updates on the Iba-Wal project.
Previously: installed Underhill Full English Filter preamp with a stacked bass EQ in my Ibanez Sr500 bass from 2007. Adjusted filter Q trim pot to have a wider sweep. Wasn't happy with the bartolini mk1s (too much highs, not enough mids).
Update: Ordered Turner Multi-Coil pickups with English voicing from Chris. Ordered a multicoil buffer from Tim at Underhill. Excellent service from both Chris and Tim!
Bass routing was just completed by a close friend this week. Dude was excellent and did it for free. We went in from the back of the bass, shifted the battery compartment up towards the neck and widened the electronics cavity. I'm still without power and under a state of emergency after the Ontario icestorm, but looking very forward to testing it out! Here's some photos
