Selling my beloved Ibanez ATK 1300 Prestige. 1999. Made in Japan for one year only. This bass is amazing. Mahogany body, flame maple top. Maple neck and board. Active with Bass, Mid, Treble boost/cut. 24 frets. 5 way selector switch. Great shape. Some indent scratches on the back. They were there when I got the bass.
So many tones! You can really cover any situation with this bass. As far as I know this was the top of the line in the ATK series. 9.6 lbs. no trades. Only selling to fund something I’ve already committed to.

I used to have an ATK 200, natural finish/rosewood fretboard, with just the big pickup...it was a fun little bass, but as sometimes happens, eventually it wasn't "doing it" for me anymore, so I sold it, along with the combo amp I had at the time.

But as also sometimes happens, that bass has never left my mind, so I'm always sorta-kinda on the lookout for "what's out there" RE: ATKs. This one, as OP says, is pretty much the top-of-the-line ATK model, but more than I am currently willing to spend on a bass (especially after factoring in the conversion to CAD :vomit:) - Which is not to say OP's is asking too much (this is a totally fair asking price as far as I can tell, I've seen others asking significantly more on the 'Bay, Reverb, etc), but for the budget I'd be working with, I'd be looking more at the 300/400 series.

Super-nice bass, wish I could swing it...GLWS...:cool:

Thanks! It really is the highest end ATK Ibanez built. The flame maple/mahogany body, 24 feet neck, etc. it is such a killer bass. This is the 4th time I’ve put it up for sale. I have always taken it down in a couple of weeks after I come to my senses! I don’t play it enough anymore, but at the same time hate the idea of not having it. I always think I can just get another, but not like this. It is the only 1300 Prestige I’ve ever seen.

Here are some pics of the back of the neck. There are a couple of small indents I never knew were there until someone asked me. I tried to capture them in the pictures.

Absolutely beautiful example and well priced.

I have only played the ATK300s, and think they're really good. I bet this one is special.
