Ibanez ATK neck replacement

Hey fellow low-Enders,

I have an Ibanez ATK bass that my Mom got me about 15 years ago. It has a sealed, maple neck that I can't stand playing.

Questing for a replacement neck that would work. Something with an unsealed darkwood fretboard.

I'm leery of buying a neck that won't work from eBay. Anyone have any leads?

Much obliged; Brendan

Did you ever find a new neck?? What models worked or you think will work? I also have a mid 90s ATK 300. But MY problem is that I cannot find a replacement for the neck that was BROKEN. I traveled the world up until 7 years ago playing in many different bands. My ATK300 was all I ever had to use as it was so diverse that it did not matter what style I was playing. But on my way back to the US 7 years ago, a new security rule was put in place at the airport that I could NOT lock the case and I had to leave it unlocked... Well.. Of COURSE when I opened it at the airport after I got home--some Fjerk had tightened the strings after I had loosened them completely SO tight that the head stock had broken off and was only still attached by splinters of wood.. I have been looking for a original mid 90s neck like you described to replace it for years. I would even be open to ANY neck at this point to replace it with but I cannot find anyone on here who knows what would even fit. Do you still have yours and what would you want for it?
