Ibanez Destroyer bass reissue!

I was thinking the same thing. Even in my excitement I manage to nit-pick. :p

I don't know if it's so much nit-picking. The black and bound model sells like hotcakes when they pop up...someone was trying to move a red and gold WITH A CASE here and couldn't sell it for weeks, if he ever sold it.

Also, they list this reissue as having a 34" scale on the website. The original is a 32" scale if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not super tuned-in to that particular market but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that not making that bass available in black is a poor decision. There may also be a certain number of perspective buyers who would appreciate the versatility of a second pickup.

If they ever reissue the Destroyer with the banana-style headstock, I'll buy it immediately.

Yeah, don't know why they didn't reissue that instead of that cheap looking thing. If done well there would be a good market for it.

Because Gibson would probably sue them if they did. I know the destroyer was an explorer rip off to begin with but thats just a little over the top.
I had a destroyer X guitar during the 80's and it was a nice guitar...fast action and great sounding.

First the originals were pretty light , i got a used one with original case in that red with a natural headstock and badass I bridge on it for 275$ shipped from canada to oregon on ebay , no one else even bid on it.

I couldnt even sell it on tb and had to trade it off , i dont see the demand for these.

I recorded my bands cd with it and it didnt sit in the mix well , maybe cuz of how the guy recorded it , he was pretty iffy.
