Ibanez EHB1000S -New Short Scale Headless....

Looks cool enough in the green, but that metallic pink looks like a Pepto-Bismol add to me! :vomit:
I'm also wondering about the neck... I've always liked Ibanez's thin C shaped necks, but the neck on this 4-string short scale looks rather flat and wide to me in the photos and videos. Is this a consequence of the headless design? Do all or most of the new headless BGs have flatter necks and fretboards?
If so, I'll keep my heads!!

Going by their spec sheets for the EHB1000S and comparing to top standard SR (SR600E), the neck is slightly wider on the EHB. At the nut it is 41mm vs. 38mm on an SR and at the 24th fret, the EHB is 64mm vs. 62mm on an SR. The radius of the EHB is significantly flatter than an SR (500mm vs. 305mm respectively).

Yeah I thought so... So having an (expensive) headless Ibanez does nothing for me except to keep me up with the latest fad. If it's more uncomfortable to play, then who the heck needs it? The Ibanez SR's (and now also the new Sterlings) are just fine with me with their very good short scale, fully headed, BGs!! :bassist: -Yeah Baby!!
Enjoy,
