Ibanez Musician bass schematics

Hi, I have an Ibanez Musician Bass '83. Right now i should be like the 5th owner that the bass has had, and in the bass guitar lifetime some owners have tried to make some "improvements" and changes on the bass. The problem im finding right now is that the attack of the bass feels plain and powerless. Besides that, the trebel potentiometer of the active preamp doesnt work.

Ive talked to some gear wiz guys and they have told me that i need the schematics of the bass to be able to change the pre amp or make any improvement. I was wondering if anyone have had the same problem, how have you managed to come to a resolution and which would be your suggestions toward maybe a pickup or pre amp change. Thanks!

1st things first-when was the last time you changed the battery? I ALWAYS forget the obvious stuff like that.

As far as the schematics go, you might want to try Ibanez' site and see if there are any such listings there.

get that sucker working, you'll love it forever

mine sounds fine except for a buzzy bridge pup. the wiring is a mess!
