Ibanez SR-485 or EDB-605?

Looking to add another bass to my collection... just a cheap 5 string to goof off & gig with,

There are two Ibanez 5 strings on Craigs List,
a Mahogany SR-485,
or a Luthite EDB-605 for about the same price..around $200.00 US, w/ Hard Case...

Not sure of the years, or what they went for new....are these good prices?.. Which bass is the better of the two?

they look to be in nice shape..Just wondering if anyone can help out...Thanks

Well I bought the EDB-605...not sure if I like it yet,...the damn strings are so close together, I bet the finger board is only as wide as my 1977 BC Rich Eagle, 4 string, and that is pretty damn narrow!!

But, I had to drive an hour, to the stix, to look at it,
and you guys said it was a good deal....
so I figgered "What The Hay"...it's only $200.00..I could spend that in one weekend of drinking, at the bars..

..I was surprised at how small the body was..that was almost the Deal Breaker,..I'm 6'6" and resemble "The Undertaker"...I feel like I'm playing a Ukulele (spell check)

So... to get straight to the "poop", I saw on Craigs List, that the kid with the SR-485 lowered the price, to $175 w/ the Hard shell... so I just had to email him, to set up an appt. to take a look at it ...still waiting to hear back from him..

That's my story, so far... any opinions on that SR-485, and what makes them any good? are the body's bigger? I know You like them "Solarmist"....

The kid I bought the EDB from, showed me his new Ibanez BTB 5 string..Holy Smokes, that thing was HUGE!!!!

Thanks,
Unka Rick
