Ibanez SR4 replacement necks

I have an Ibanez SR500 bass that I am interested in turning into a fretless, but I'm not confident enough with my woodworking skills to defret it myself. Does anyone know if/where I could get a fretless neck for it, like the neck found on the SR300F? I've searched the internet and these forums, but can't seem to find anywhere they're sold.

Ibanez has an online store with replacement parts for specific models.

They probably do not have necks on there, but you may be able to special order one. Though it'd cost a lot I'm sure. In that case it might be worth just having a luthier custom build one.

I suggest finding a Luthier to defret it and fill the fret slots. That's a relatively easy job for them. That way you keep the original neck . . . assuming there's nothing wrong with it.

Gene Liberty is who I use for all my work. This guy is a master. Takes in guitars from all over the country. Not the fanciest web site but trust me, he does marvelous work.

Check out the customization he did on my BTB . . .
