Ibanez SR655PB - Need Help Deciding

Hey all!
So I came across a Ibanez SR655PB today at a clearance sale, and from what little information I was able to gather it's a very solid bass, also very striking. I was wondering if anyone out there had any more information on it, and whether it was worth the price. The list is $799, but they've marked it down to more than half off, about $350. Seems like a great deal, but I just wanted to get some input from all of you knowledgeable people out there

I did read somewhere that there were only 150 sold in the US, although I'm not for sure that's the case. Hopefully whoever has one sees this and can give me some insight

That bass looks sexy; for 350 i'd get it. The SR necks are very thin which some people don't like. I love them.

How about this? you go over there...pick the bass, play it, like how it sounds/feels? Snatch it...c´mon, with a fancy top like that? For 350 bucks?

I have played it, neck feels fairly nice, sounds interesting but good, really just wanted some other opinions. It has Bartolini MK1-5 pickups, definitely different for me. And believe me, that price is really tempting

ok where was this clearence sale cause if they are selling this for dirt cheap they probably have a plethora ( thats right plethora) of other good basses

GET IT GET IT GET IT GET IT GET IT GET IT! I absolutely LOVE mine! I'm never selling it, and I love that sexy blue moon finish! Pickups and preamp are also pretty good.

Grab that bass!! Even if it's not a "rare" one, it's got a great Burl Maple top and "Blue Moon" finish, and that price is pretty much a steal for one.

If only 150 made in that particular finish isn't considered "rare", then '51 P-basses aren't either.

Thanks to all you guys for taking the time to respond. After going back and playing it more, I couldn't resist and ended up taking the plunge. It's been great so far, beautiful bass, thanks again for comments guys!
