Wait. Louder at the same volume? What am I missing?
when I plug in any of my other basses, not changing any settings, all are louder. That’s what I was saying.

I’m calling Sweetwater tomorrow, as that is the only review that mentions a production number.Maybe just made for a certain store chain?
I have that bass. No volume issues. I doubt there were only 89 made as they are not collectible and do not fetch an inflated vintage price.
Here's an older Reverb listingI’m calling Sweetwater tomorrow, as that is the only review that mentions a production number.
I bought it used. Where is the production number? The serial number is 9 digits long. I found a note to myself with manufacture date as June 2009 and suffix 1PO1. Could that mean I have the first one made?I wouldn’t call 2009 “vintage” by a long shot. Did you buy yours new? And BTW, the production number was given as 48, by someone else who purchased it. I’m just trying to find out.
Among my acoustics is an Alvarez, from a total run of 200, but from the first batch of 100. McCartney has one, Walsh, Richards, Knopfler etc. it’s from 85, and I got it in 87. Very nice guitar. I don’t collect, I pick an instrument for the sound it makes, and I use them. This bass has an interesting sound that fills a tonal gap, and the complete lack of information is quite perplexing.
Are you trying to say that they are louder on full volume than the active on full? What is the active bass? Knowing that might help. How much of a difference is there?when I plug in any of my other basses, not changing any settings, all are louder. That’s what I was saying.

Which Ibanez? I don't see one.The active bass IS this Ibanez, it’s the only active bass I have. If you go back and read, you’ll see I list the other basses, and knowing basses, it’s obvious this is the only one.
That serial number shows the bass to have been made in June 2009.Here's an older Reverb listing

Yours has the same start to the serial number as the one in the ad. The 09 means 2009, and the 06 means June. Both basses were made in June 2006.That’s not my bass, that’s an ad.

Then why the whining about it not being the same bass as in the ad? Look, we're not going to know anything about it that Ibanez themselves don't know, are we?That’s not the point at all. I already know this model was only made in 2009.

Where within that serial number is the number reflecting if it was the first made or the 89th made? You’re joking? The serial number IS the production number. Can you post a picture of it? It’s on the back of the headstock.

THERE IS NOTHING INDICATING IT’S EVEN A LIMITED EDITION, EVEN THOUGH WE KNOW IT TO BE SO.
As to what number OF the limited edition IS NOT ACKNOWLEDGED, HENCE PART OF THE CONUNDRUM. Even though I got out the crayons and spelled it out simply for you, I’m still not sure you grasp the original question.
