Ibanez SR885?

Well....parcel force arrived today and I got my hands on my new old stock 1993 SR885. it looked great in the pictures on eBay but they didn't do it justice. This bass is absolutely flawless...stuck hidden in a box since 1993 and still had all protective plastics on it. .I gave the fretboard some lemon oil, gave it a brand new battery,a brand new set of strings and took care of intonation and action. No crackles or pops from the post and all sounds great. Still in disbelief as to how mint this bass is.

I paid what I thought was a reasonable £250 GBP for it. Both seller as me as a buyer both happy.

Well someone is selling this very same bass now for £500

Beautiful bass. I have 1996 model. Customized. But the vari mid pre amp rocks.
