Ibanez SR900 weight?

I gig live, several nights per week, 4hours, with an ernie ball musicman, but I'm looking for a lighter backup to give my back a break.

Checking out a used Ibanez SR900 (maple) for $300.

Anyone know the weight of it, compared to the Musicman stingray? Thanks!

Also - is it a good deal at $300?

it's usually not heavy. and they are good basses in my opinion. 300 is an excellent price.
oh, and you may want to check out yamaha rbx4 a2 (yamaha air) it's very light and it's very nice.
yet another alternative is fender p lyte. out of all three I'd favor the yamaha air.

No way! You should buy it!
Kidding, in no way is this solicitation :)
PS; So I actually contribute to the thread in some way... The preamp idea is a great one. I actually built a nice little pre for it but ended up using it elsewhere.
You could even buy bartolinis for it if the idea came your way, yet I think the stock pickups are wound very similarly...

I bought it - the tone is way better than I imagined, and the weight is very light.

I have owned an Ibanez Ergodyne since 2001, and while I loved the weight, shape and feel, the tone was just absolutely terrible.

Now I have the best of both worlds!
