So I got a new bass, picked up an Ibanex SRSC805 Cerro and it's beautiful, it's the first instrument I've owned with this type of natural finish and I don't want to ruin it right out of the gate...Can anybody tell me what finishes are safe to use on this bass? I have Dunlop 65 and hear that it contains silicone, so that doesn't sound like a good option at all...but who knows. Please help!!!

Use any good cleaning compound you want that doesn't contain silicon. Ban silicon forever from all your wood instruments. Any good lemon scented petrol based compound will do. I personally like the Dunlop 65 used sparingly on a microfiber cloth. Don't put it directly on the bass, put a little on a corner of the cloth, rub it in, buff it off with the dry part of the cloth. I use 2 separate cloths, one for the neck and one for the body, as I prefer not to rub my neck gunk on the body. There's no point in using a polishing compound, because of the natural finish.
