i got lucky actually and my local store had a used classic vibe precision.

Go with the Ibanez. Look at the TMB300. I am not an Ibanez fan, not saying that they are bad, I have owned a pretty cool Squier VM Jag, but it is a Squier. You will never get past the Squier reputation. Saying that, they are a much better instrument than previous models, especially the VM series.

Mint green. I much preferred it to the black and I wanted something a bit different.

Talman for sure! The pickups are very nice for such a bargain bass and the P/J setup gives you everything you'd ever need tone wise.

squier makes some really good quality instruments. mim basses are not $200 better if better at all than a classic vibe.
