Ibanez

I play a Fender MIM Jazz, and I'm possibly looking to pickup my first active bass....Ibanez. I've been looking at the SR, GSR, SRX. But here's a couple of questions....

-What opinions do you have on said models?
-Why are they so inexpensive? (namely the SR300DX) Whats the catch?

I have owned an Ibanez sr300dx and an Ibanez srx 300. I think the reason they are so inexpensive is that they are discontinued and easily available used. I thought the sr300 was the most versatile of the two. Knowing what I know now I should have picked up a used Ibanez sr800 instead. That is one seriously decent bass for not alot of money and a step up from the Ibanez 300 series.

I went to look at the SR500 today, and actually ended up buying an SRX3EXQM1 like this one:

I was going to buy the SR500, but while I was waiting for the GC guy to set the action properly on the SR500, I picked this up. It's a great bass. I played several others basses, but just kept going back to the SRX3EXQM1. I did everything I could to talk myself out of getting it, but it was just calling my name!! I even went to lunch, and then ended up going back.
The best part, it's $150 cheaper than the SR500 that I went to buy!
