Hey all, digital recording newb back again...
So i was able to get my hands on an iCon Cube 6 nano interface. I was warned in my first/last question that the interface might be the tough part and that is proving correct! I wont go i to all the reasons why i went with the icon over say a focusrite, but that is what i am working with.
Computer has 64bit windows 10. The cube turns on, my computer recognizes that it is connected, but always comes up as *driver error*. It is of note that i do not have a cd rom on my computer so havent used the cd that came with it, this might be the problem? Either way, i went online to download the driver, which worked fine...unzipped and installed driver. But now it just seems like the computer will always use the windows audio driver and will not use the one i downloaded. I cant figure out how to make the box connect! Anyone else using this interface (doesnt seem like its popular, which makes me thing i shouldnjust return it and get a focusrite model). Anyways, im sure it will work fine if i can just get it to work, hahahahaha.
Edit to add that im trying to use pro-tools first, which i already have installed and wis working fine (able to record and playback my voice with the computer audio)
