Double Bass ID Mke required

so this is what I know...a 3/4 upright came into the shop i work at part time...im an electric player, not an upright..if you could help me out..that would be great... so its not great shape...plywood top..
inside cavity says made in Checkslovakia...I have looked everywhere for markings, names etc..but nothing...any ideas of make

Sounds like a factory bass. Most luthiers would have some sort of marking that it was made by them. And you said it was a plywood?

Post some pics of the bass. It sounds like an early to mid 20th century factory bass for sure though.

Yes the top is ply wood

I definitely will post some pics when I get back work...
The E G strings are steel wound and A D are gut strings!!..the neck joint is pulling away from body...What would be a quick guess on price?...I know its tough without pics...but I personally think its around $300-$400??
Am I close???.....thoughts???

On pricing I would say if you could fix it up, polish it, and get some upgrades to it, it could sell for $500-1000 for an okay students bass. That is, if you fix it and add a few upgrades to make it look nice.

Hello, the bridge is not in the right position, so the setup might be very bad. So you might have to invest in a new bridge and in a new setup.

The individual (customer) brought this in and wanted a dollar value given on the bass...the more I investigate this instrument the less its worth...I believe the value to be down in the $250 range now...the back had cracked at the neck joint and had been reinstalled...and poorly at that, you can see the epoxy over spill!!!...the neck is pulling away!...

Any thoughts on value...am I in the ball park??

Well all of this being said, the bass is not in as good as condition as I thought. You might be lucky to get $250.
