Identification of my bass

Hi!

Recently, I got as a gift schort scale bass in very poor condition.
Unfortunately, the owner did not inform me what is the brand or model.
I think that can be produced in Japan. In the Internet I did not found simillar instrument.
Can somebody tell me something about this instrument and what could it be?
Thank you for reply and sorry for my bad english.

Made in Japan in the late 60's, early 70's.

Those instruments were mass imported, with many dozens of names on the headstock, with most of them coming from the same factory.

Sold at Sears and other large department stores. Also, from catalogs.

Yours is missing a few parts, and usually had a VERY heavy finish applied to it.

Thanks a lot

Lacquer on the neck and headstock has been shredded. On the body is realy nasty paint ,must be not original.
Bridge and pickguard was lost.
Body is made of plywood.
I would be grateful for the show me photos of simillar bass or webpage that could be helpful to...
I want renovate this guitar.
