Hi I have a bass with round wound stings which has light blue felt on the ends, can someone tell me what strings they maybe? Thanks

Please post a couple of pics of the strings - one at the headstock and one at the bridge, including the ball ends if possible. Thanks.

One quick question... Do they happen to have colored ball ends - RED-BLUE-WHITE-RED (E-G)?
sorry now looking at it again in better light the felt is more grey then blue, the ends are brass. cant get a pic just yet
Well we will see if we get pics but sounds like old Dean Markly Blue Steels. That’s my guess anyway.
When the OP mentioned "blue silk", I was thinking Rotosound Swing Bass 66 Nickels. But they would have colored ball ends (red-blue-white-red).
Now the silk has turned to grey. This is why we need pics for more visual cues.
While we're waiting for the pics, can you do something?
Measure the length of the E string from where the ball end is seated to where the silk starts at the other end. By the way, do they have silk at both ends or just at the tuner end?
Amateurs. I don’t even need a photo.
One of them is an E string.
Next to it is the A string.
After that is the D string.
Finally we have the G string. Giggity.

Every single time I used them back in the day the wrap was blue. Even in their magazine ads they were blue.
Those look to me like the old Sadowsky Black Label rounds. Hard to tell if they're stainless steel or nickel-plated steel, though.
I once had a set of Sadowsky Black Label Flats on my J bass and they had the same grey silk on them.
By the way, are the ball ends brass/gold or chrome/silver?
Are they top-loaded or thru-body?

When I saw the grey silk, I first thought of GHS Super Steels. But looking at those pics, they don't match the specs for the Super Steels, but they do match the Sadowsky's specs for the winding length (37" ball end to silk) and the brass ball ends. The Super Steels are 38" in winding length and they come with silver-colored ball ends.
