Identify this bass

Can someone tell me about this bass?
All I know is that its an ibanez.

If I were a betting man I'd put my money on Made in Japan in the early/mid 1970's (i.e. pre 1977 with the Fender style headstock). Probably more of a 'student model' but it looks like a mighty cool bass, Outsider!

Thanks guys, that helped a lot.
It isn't mine unfortunately, its a friend bass. Apparently his dad bought it a long time ago and his brother modified it slightly.

I haven't played it yet, my friend doesn't have an amp
I'll have to get it from him some time
