Double Bass Identify this bass!

Seller doesn't know what it is and this is the closest I can come to an affordable upright or EUB.

I emailed him and it was sold to him by a Japanese musician who told him it was from Japan.

It has a pickup but no sort of tone controls or preamp. I emailed asking for better pictures.

What do you guys think is a fair price for this? Is this a decent bass aside from being sturdy?
