Identify this parts Precision

Hello everybody. Just purchased a Precision in a really nice price but it is parts from different instruments. Previous owner said that the neck is a Fender 60s anniversary precision or something like that and it has a USA serial number dated to 2007-08. He also said that the body is purchased from USA and it is alder and the bridge is from an older fender instrument. The neckplate says Corona California. Obviously pickup and electronics are not original although i would like an input on those japan pots i have never seen.

At first sight it looks like a stock MIM upgraded with a Wilkinson bridge and a Duncan SPB of sort. Not USA.
It's worth investigating further though.

The bridge doesn't have any brand on it and it seems like a kind of himass not vintage like the wilkinson i am aware of. What do you think about the neck and pots? Thank you for your reply.

You're right, the base is too thick for a basic WIlkinson.
The trussrod on headstock side makes it very unlikely to be us.
The Seymour Duncan marking on the P means it's either an old SPB or a Seymour design. The newer ones are marked Basslines.

You are right i did a search and found that older Seymour duncan did not write Bass lines, but could not find quarter pound with Seymourduncan label...

Almost for sure, not a US Fender made neck. The bridge is a Squier hi-mass bridge that is typical on most of the Classic Vibe series. The pickups look like Quarter Pounders to me based on the large pole pieces. I cant really tell much about the body.

How does it sound?

It is very very good. very balanced sound across the fingerboard. The neck is 41mm nut but not too chunky.

i have seen though some usa models with headstock truss rod access. May it be 60 anniversary model or something like that? Cause if it isn't US model neck then it might be refinished with new decal, although i cannot see any sign of refinishedd neck

To me, even that serial number location looks unusual. If the serial number is real, it indicates that the neck was made in Corona 2007-2008. There should also be some sort of markings inside the neck heel that verify something in that date range.

i found many fender USA guitars having the serial number in the specific position but not basses. i will check the neck heel later today

Looks like a Matt Freeman sig that has had a neck refin, Duncans and MIJ electronics installed. Weird.

I think matt freeman squier bass does not have a skunk stripe at the back of the neck as this one does. Confusion is growing in my mind...

Don't know if Squier basses do it, but I've seen a few Squire artist designed guitars that use Duncan pups, so if the bridge is suspected to be Squier, then maybe the electronics are, too?

They use duncan designed pickups. I don't know any squier artist model using spb-3 pickup. The body maybe is matt frean sig with altered pickup and electronics but the neck i wonder what could it be...

This is 44mm body thickness. Does anyone know how much thickness has the matt freeman squier?

Neck is most certainly not a 60th anniversary neck, they all have truss rod adjustment on the heal, so +1 to MIM neck....

That serial number does not match the neck/head stock at all. Sadly, it looks like someone removed the original head stock logo and replaced it with a fender logo and serial number. I hope I'm wrong but, nothing on the head stock looks right. True, it is a parts bass and it's difficult to determine other parts without actually seeing the instrument. It probably plays well and may sound even better.
