Identifying my Fender Bass

Hi Guys,

I have problem identifying my fender bass guitar. It doesn't have any serial numbers on the head nor the plate at the back of the guitar...

The guitar has a sunburst color, white pickguard and precision & Jazz combo PU

when I bought it, it had a "fender super bullets" sticker on the pickguard if that helps.

The problem with your pictures seems to be that you are linking them from a secure website which requires a login and possibly a program download to get to them. Try photobucket or blogspot.com for uploading

Nice bass. Looks like a Precision Bass Special (California Series). Not 100% sure though. You should take off the neck and check the numbers.

Edit: Possibly late 1990's.

It looks like the Jazz pickup is really crooked

Looks like a fake to me. The pickguard is a little oddly shapped around the bottom contour, the sunburst isn't sprayed right for a modern fender, the jazz pup is a little slanted, the string retainer looks wrong for a fender part, and the bridge is wrong.

All of these. Looks like a knock off with a fender sticker. That pickguard shape is definitely not right, the burst doesn't work and all the other things you've noted.
