Idiotbox Landphil - How does it stack up against the Blower Box?

Which pedal do you prefer for live performances?

Hi Everyone,

I'm considering purchasing either the Blower Box or the Landphil pedal from Idiotbox and I'm wondering if any TBers have tried both and have determined the differences? Which pedal do you prefer for live performances? Also, do the additional knobs on the Landphil just act as a parametric EQ?

I would appreciate your thoughts.

I have only recently acquired the blower box and it is really an amazing dirt pedal. I have heard the landphil demo and that sounds great too but is a pretty big pedal and will take up allot of real estate on your pedalboard. I still don't know what the extra knobs control.

Thanks for the input! I was also considering the size/real estate issue as well. Have you used the Blower Box live already?

It wasn't real clear in the Landphil demo what the extra knobs were actually doing. That demo was also really messy sounding, I can't imagine those tones working in a mix very well even if you're playing loud doom or something. I'd still like to try a Landphil but I'd want to hear more demos before ordering one.
Thanks for the input! I also wasn't clear from the demo or product description what the extra knobs do. I agree with you about the demo sounding messy too, although I thought the intro riff sounded pretty good. Not sure if that sound would work well in a mix either though. If I end up deciding on the Landphil I'll try to post a demo, but at this point, I'm still not certain I will pull the trigger on one.
