Ok...you asked....Spector (duh)....EMG PJ's, EMG BQC, black hrdwr, Figured Maple top, trans stained in just about any color (preferably red), matching headstock (dang Kwesi we thinks alike), birdseye maple neck and fretboard - thats right I said Maple fretboard - and the neck would have the exact specs/size of my Kramer Spector NS2C bass...oh 35" scale too

If I was going to actually get a "signature" bass, I'd probably have Warwick's Custom Shop build me a replica of my '96 Corvette, with the JAN I and all wenge neck. It's made me perfectly happy over the years, I can't really see wanting anything hugely elaborate (also, in the event that it was stolen or damaged, I'd like something I could have replaced fairly quickly).

Based on current experience (which is pretty limited as far as different basses played), I'd have to say probably BC Rich. I dunno what it is, but I think my BCR plays better than my Squier/fender. It just feels better for some reason.

Ibanez. It'd be an SRX695 with knobs and cable input arranged like on the SRs. And with an anarchy symbol somewhere on the body.

knobs with bone tops. Strap-locks, Drop-A tuner, whammy bar, passive/active switch, and bridge/neck pup switch. That li'l thing you can attach to to the head that holds picks. black hardware, corrugated metal pickguard, comes standard with red strings.

The reality is that most boutique builders don't have endorsees so a number of my favorites are unavailable right off the bat.

Lakland. I'd like my sig bass to be Lakland's first 6-string with the same body style, features and specs as the 55 and 44 - 94's. Love my five string Lakies but really itching for a 6'er these days.

I'd want 2 of them- one to match my 3 tone sunburst and one to match my natural.

Not only would it kill the need for any other Bass, just the sight of the knobs would scare old people (three stacked knobs, two push-pull knobs, and four switches... that is eight separate knobs, six switches, and nine holes filled).


And now that I think about it, let's have a coil-tap switch for each pickup.

Hehe, good point. I wanted it to be a dream endorsement thread but then it wouldve been a thread of one word answers and that's boring, lol. There is already a dream custom bass thread so tried (and pretty much failed) to mix in some originality

Ebmm would probably be my first choice. I would kill for a stealth sterling 5 (or 6) hhp fretless. Coil taps and a kill switch are a must.

I like my Valenti so much I'd say I'd have Nino hook me up. I'd probably stick with the jazz bass with EMG 40J's and the Aggie OBP-3 but instead of the birdseye maple neck and fretboard I'd go with hard maple on my fretboard and a wenge neck. I'd still have a swamp ash body though.
