If I could have only two, it would be a Lakland Skyline 55-02 and a MIA Fender Precision Standard 5. I own a 55-02 and it fakes a Jazz, Warwick, and MusicMan very well. It falls a little short faking a P, so I'd get one of those.

i think i,d stick with what i have, squier deluxe jazz 5,if fender has a american jazz 5 with the same sting spacing however i'd trade up, and my MIA deluxe p basss. squier covers my 5 string and jazz needs, the deluxe p handles any thing else i ever need, even does a pretty good ray sound

I voted for Modulus for my second. I have a Modulus VJ that I love. The neck feels great and doesn't move when the weather changes. I've noticed that Modulus has added 19mm string spacing and 34" scales as options to most of their other basses. It's way overdue for them to come out with a 5-string VJ that has both of those features, as well as a rounded neck heel (that square block is seriously outdated)and 24 frets. Nonetheless, I'm keeping the one I have.
